Audits
Internal (1st Party)

This type of audit is performed within an organization and it measures the weaknesses, or strengths, against the company's methods, procedures, or external standards. An internal audit assists management in determining
if procedures are utilized and adequate, and to provide the early detection of a problem. Internal audits can be performed by an organizations' employees, or it can be performed by and outside auditing organization.

Our president is an ASQ Certified Quality Auditor, so we are able to perform internal audits for organizations that do not have someone to perform this type of audit. This is beneficial to companies, because we can provide more objectivity since we do not have a vested interest in the area being audited, or the results of the audit.
Supplier (2nd Party)
A second party audit is an external audit performed on a supplier by a customer. This audit is performed to assess the capabilities of a potential supplier to ensure they will meet specific requirements. It is also performed to assess a supplier to verify the requirements of the contract are being followed.

This audit can also be performed by a contracted organization on behalf of a customer. For this audit, a survey, or an assessment is done to evaluate such things as, the management system, resources, facilities, and personnel.

If your organization has the need for this type of audit, we are prepared to do this as well.
Process
This type of audit is performed to verify the processes are working by examining the activities regarding inputs, actions, and outputs within the established requirements. The process audit is verifying by evaluating the methods, or operation to measure conformance to the standards and the effectiveness of the instructions.

A process audit checks the adequacy and effectiveness of the process controls established by procedures, work instructions, flowcharts, training, and process specifications.

Product
The product audit examines a specific product, such as, a service, hardware, or software to evaluate if it confirms to the customer's requirements, performance standard, or the specifications.

This audit is performed when the product is complete and has passed the final inspection. This audit can also measure the quality of the product being sent to the customer, and frequently includes an evaluation of packaging, checks for proper documentation and accessories.
System
This audit is performed on a management system. A quality management system audit evaluates the current quality program to determine if it conforms to company policies, and contract commitments.

A system audit looks at everything within the system. This includes, the processes, products, services, and supporting departments such as customer service, order entry, purchasing, and training.

This audit looks at the flow of information, or products, throughout the organization. We must remember that, the output of one process, is an input to another process.
